LineBreak is a product of Baktun Studio LLC (“Baktun Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a limited liability company. Our product is accessible at linebreakapp.com and linebreak.dev. You can reach us at support@linebreakapp.com.
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the product. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising.
Account information. When you sign in with GitHub or Google OAuth, we receive your email address, display name, and profile avatar URL from the provider. We store this to identify your account and issue you an access token.
Usage telemetry (opt-in). During first launch, you are presented with a consent screen that includes an opt-in checkbox for product analytics. If you opt in, we collect anonymized events such as:
These events are sent to PostHog (analytics) and Sentry (crash reporting). They never include your code, your prompts, or project content. If you opt out, no telemetry is sent. You can change this preference at any time in Settings → General.
Website analytics (consent-based). On this marketing website (linebreakapp.com) we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic and which pages and actions (for example, starting a download or viewing pricing) are popular. These cookies load only after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, no Google Analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. You can withdraw or change this choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer, which also clears any Google Analytics cookies. This is separate from the in-app telemetry above and never involves your code, prompts, or projects.
LLM provider traffic. When the agent runs, it sends prompts to your chosen LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or a local model). This traffic goes directly from your machine to the provider; it does not pass through LineBreak servers. The provider’s own privacy policy governs that data. If you use your own Azure OpenAI tenant or a local model, no data leaves your network at all.
Metering events. We collect structured usage events (action type, phase, timestamp, installation ID) to support future billing and quota enforcement. These events do not include code or prompt content. They are stored in our Cloudflare D1 database.
License service interactions. Our licensing service (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) receives your user ID and installation ID when the app checks your entitlements. We log standard Cloudflare access logs (IP address, timestamp, HTTP method and path) subject to Cloudflare’s data retention policies.
Account data and metering events are stored in Cloudflare D1 (a SQLite-based database hosted on Cloudflare’s global network). Cloudflare stores data in the United States and European Union depending on your region.
Telemetry data is stored in PostHog Cloud (US region) and Sentry (US region).
We retain account data for the lifetime of your account. Metering events are retained for 12 months on Free tier. Paid tiers have longer retention periods as described in your plan.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@linebreakapp.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We share data only with the following sub-processors, to the extent necessary to operate the product:
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third party for their own purposes.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@linebreakapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.
LineBreak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We implement industry-standard security practices including HTTPS for all data in transit, HMAC-signed entitlement documents, short-lived access tokens (1-hour TTL), rotating refresh tokens (90-day TTL), and OS keyring storage for all credentials on the desktop client. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your OS and LineBreak up to date.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via the in-app update banner or email. Continued use of LineBreak after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
